Reactivate settings/menu

Hi.

Nice plugin, but I am experiencing some problems.

I need to reactivate access to Slider Revolution for my customer. Originally I removed all access, but now they want to be able to do the changes them selfs.

I enter the settings, remove the marking on all the options for the user, save, refresh, and nothing happens.

Am I missing something? This is starting to be a bit urgent…!

No role but admin can approve a claimed listing

I have used this plugin on multiple sites requiring a directory, but this is the first time I’ve used it with the intent of having businesses claim their listings. I’ve got that working (I think), but now I need the person responsible to approve the claims. She is not an administrator, so I created a role for her with User Role Editor, didn’t turn off any capabilities in URE, and used Adminimize to select what admin menu functions would be turned off. Unfortunately even leaving all of the Directory menu items unchecked in Adminimize only allows me to view the Directory (add and edit listings but not approve a claimed listing) but not the Directory Admin. As a matter of fact, no other role other than admin, WP core or not, can see the Directory Admin menus. Is there any way to change that?

Great Admin Menu Plugin with many features above its competitors

I have tried many admin plugins to remove options & clean up the admin areas for clients that want a streamlined experience and this is one of the best. Don’t expect any branding options as this is strictly a deactivation tool to remove items. It is very powerful so make sure to always backup your wp database prior to any changes if you are precautious like me. Many thanks to Frank Bueltge (@bueltge) for his efforts and offering this to the wp community.

Works but leaves items disabled after uninstall

I tried this based on the past reviews and it worked well when it was activated. But when I went to deactivate it and uninstall it didnt and was a pain. I did first use the clean tool the plugin provided before I deactivated it. But it still left tables effected. I noticed after I disabled functions for authors, after I uninstalled it, it still left the authors with the disabled functions. I then went into the tables manually on my server and compared it with a clean version, and they still had many rights restricted. The author needs to create a better uninstaller for this as it messed up my site. Too bad as it was a good one while I used it but before using it please make a copy of your db first before installing this as you may have the same problem I ran into!

WP Mobile dashboard not working

Hi! I’m having problems with the WP dashboard working via mobile phone. I have a site that has multiple users and I’ve used the Adminimize-plugin to rule out some features from some users. They are basically able to edit their comments and posts, which they are able to do via computer. But on the mobile dashboard it just says their name and welcome, other than that it’s empty. So they can’t edit anything on the mobile version even though they should have access to their posts and comments.

For administrators the mobile dashboard works just fine and normally, so I’ve come to the conclusion that it might be Adminimize that’s causing the issue. I tried googling a solution, but didn’t really find anything. Can anyone here help?

First, thanks for this amazing plugin. He helped me a lot.

I have a Woo site, and I would like to delegate operations to a ShopManager. How can I hide options from a drop-down list (Product Type).

I thank you in advance.

Example : hide the first option below :

<label for="product-type">
	<select id="product-type" name="product-type">
		<optgroup label="Type de produit">
			<option value="variable-subscription">Abonnement Variable</option>
			<option value="wsspg_subscription">Wsspg Subscription Product</option>
		</optgroup>
	</select>
</label>

Namaste settings over-writing Adminimize settings?

Hello, I use Adminimize extensively to tailor the admin back-end for Editors (e.g. deactivate the entire Page group). As soon as I check on the ‘Editor’ box in the “WordPress roles that can administrate the LMS” setting in Namaste, the Page group is also visible (in the WordPress back-end) to all Editors! That is not what I need, or expect to happen; I just want Editors to be able administer Nameste, and keep the Pages group hidden.

other plugin author suggesting coding issue with Adminimize

Hi Frank, thanks for the great plugin; it has served me very well in simplifying the user interface. I recently installed and am using another plugin to create a learning management system. The plugin is called “Namaste” and can be found here.https://wordpress.org/plugins/namaste-lms/
It works well, EXCEPT when I enable one of its options to allow Editors to administer the plugin, all the settings set in Adminimize are ignored. I have replicated this same issue on three different sites. As soon as I either disable that option, or deactivate the plugin completely, the Adminimize settings are once again respected. The author is saying that the issue lies with Adminimize. I have no idea.
Here is the thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/namaste-settings-over-writing-adminimize-settings/#post-10660377
Do you have any insights or suggestions ?

many thanks.

Check boxes do not stay checked after save

PHP 7.2
WP V5

All check boxes in section for WP Nav Menu and most of the check boxes for Widgets, will not remain checked once the changes are saved. Not sure if this is a conflict with another plugin or if it is not working correct due to incompatibility with PHP 7.2

Come on guys, please give us an updated version, it’s been a great plugin so far.

It works, but saved checkboxes don’t stay checked

As the title says. If you want to change anything after you save, you have to recheck (and there are LOTS of check boxes) everything you already had selected, for every single user role all over again.

It does seem to work, but making a single change after initial setup takes about 20 minutes because the check boxes won’t stay checked.

This apparently was not a problem in the past, but reported several weeks ago with no response so far from support.

Plugin conflict with adminimize

Hey,
Your plugin works great, but since the last two or three updates, there is a problematic conflict with the great adminimize plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/adminimize/
Namely, if your plugin is active, no change can be saved while changing options in this plugin. Just desactivating your plugin does fix the issue..
Any idea what is the source of this? Thanks!
Cheers,

Menu item unchecked but does not appear for that role

I’m having a similar problem. I had added a custom role via functions.php which worded fine with Adminimize.

Then I installed “Volunteer Sign-up Sheets” which added a its own custom role.

Now menu items for the custom role added via functions.php, no longer shows for that role.

I did enable “Support Multiple Roles” but that makes no difference.
